Ajmaq Glyph: The glyph signifies the mind in a state of forgiveness and illumination. It is a brain with rays, lines of expansion, reaching out in all directions. –Carlos Barrios
Ajmaq holds the energy of reconciliation, it is the non-judgement neither of others nor of ourselves, for the teaching it offers us is one of connection and harmonization with our inner self and with what surrounds us. It is self-discovery, returning to our interior to find the wisdom that inhabits us. It is reaching enlightenment. –Denise Barrios
Diana’s Observations:
Ajmaq–nawal of discord and harmony–meets the manifesting hands of Power 10 today. As the energy of error, introspection, and reconciliation, Ajmaq opens subtle pathways to learn, clarify, and expand consciousness. Both its challenges and its grace, its faults and its sweetness, unfold within 10’s nature of negotiation, relating, and cooperation. On 10 Ajmaq, we’re invited to soften resentments, seek compatibility, and move toward a mutual sense of satisfaction.
As a point of harmonization within the steadfast themes of the Kej Trecena, 10 Ajmaq stabilizes the balance between individuality and social responsibility. Linked to our ancestry, Ajmaq’s guidance directs the dissolution of karmic weight, and with 10’s tone, it emphasizes healing accessed by means of service and cooperation. Much like bees within a hive, this day illuminates how attentive connections and steady collaboration can generate both medicine and sustenance, cultivated through shared agreements and resolutions that uphold collective well-being.
When we turn toward healing, 10 Ajmaq moves like a quiet, deep clearing, releasing the old weight that keeps our steps from landing with confidence. This day brings attention to the places where heaviness has gathered—old hurts, emotional residue, and inherited burdens that slow the stag’s movement through the forest of life. It can surface as errors, frictions, or blindspots that quietly ask for introspection and honest seeing, like circumstances arranging themselves to show us where our vision is still foggy. The harmonizing service of this day may appear in subtle insights—for example, when we check in on someone else’s life and offer our support, their stories gently loosen our grip on our own “petty problems,” and a wider perspective opens.
In its broadest sense, 10 Ajmaq embodies the soul of social dynamics, revealing how every meeting of hands creates an effect or agreement—whether harmonious or heavy. It reminds us that nothing unfolds in isolation; each action, belief, and obstacle arises within a web of influences and, in turn, reshapes that hive through our choices. Its teachings call for self-responsibility in how we perceive, interpret, and respond, and under Kej’s influence this introspection becomes a steady leadership that builds true social coherence. When we look more closely at context—the ways family, community, culture, and history shape the meaning we give to any circumstance—we honor relational laws while accepting the limits of our perception. In this way, we can move through the world with greater compassion and precision.

Bee Spirit Animal:
In the Mayan K'iche and Yucatec cultures, the bee spirit animal, particularly the melipona bee (known as Xunán Kab or "lady bee"), holds significant spiritual and practical importance. Revered for its unique qualities—such as being stingless and its vital role in pollination—the melipona bee symbolizes community, cooperation, and the nurturing aspects of nature.
This connection highlights the bees' role not only in agriculture but also in spiritual practices, where their honey was used in rituals and as a source of healing. By embracing the qualities of the bee, we can navigate daily challenges with renewed purpose and a stronger connection to our community.
The bee spirit animal can be called upon as a powerful guide particularly when facing challenges that require teamwork, communication, and perseverance. In moments of feeling overwhelmed or stagnant, the bee can inspire you to reassess your responsibilities and find balance.
Additionally, the bee encourages you to communicate openly and honestly, ensuring that your interactions are meaningful and productive. It also reminds us to appreciate life's sweetness.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
10 Ajmaq
This is a day to harmonize with whatever prevents us from finding peace.Ajmaq, the day of forgiveness and reconciliation, when united with the energies of Lajuj and Kej, brings us balance and creates the space to find the right paths that lead us to harmony with the people and situations around us.
Let us take a moment today to establish a deep connection with our inner self through meditation. In this space, let us seek to see ourselves without pressure or judgment. Instead of running from our feelings, let us listen to them, sit with them in love and empathy, so we can heal and find our inner balance and harmony. –Denise Barrios
10 Ajmaq
Redemption of ourselves and others within our community may be a good focus today.
There is great discontent in our current society. Issues have divided communities and families, and driven wedges between friends. We must fix these situations within the self and forgive the failings of society. It is not possible to come to equilibrium through enmity, only side by side can we work together to resolve the situation. To initiate this process, forgiveness must take place. It could be seen as extending a hand to help those who have fallen get back up again. By choosing to take this action, we start to release our burden. It could be seen as extending a hand to help those who have fallen get back up again. By choosing to take this action, we start to release our burden.
I am sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
