On Kej days, the Maya pray for harmony throughout the natural world and among all human beings–these are propitious days to ask for strength to avoid betrayal and handle the difficulties in our lives. –Brigitte Rasine
Diana’s Observations:
Today's 10 Kej embodies a harmonious blend of leadership, stability, and transformative potential. The energy of 10 resonates with authority, agreements, and mutual support. Combined with Kej's attributes of masculine leadership, strength and stability, this day emphasizes the importance of steadfast support systems. Within the purifying influence of the Tijax Trecena, we’re called to examine our truths and reconcile dualities with the discernment of a leader.
The masculine energy of Kej guides us towards refined service driven by integrity and rectitude. As the staff holder of the community, this nawal reminds us to ensure harmony in our surroundings before addressing our personal needs. It encourages us to act with determination, guided by a strong moral compass, while upholding our responsibilities to both self and community.
Today's medicine focuses on win-win-win dynamics. It prompts us to evaluate the firmness of our literal and figurative contracts, both conscious and unconscious, and align our intentions with improving the quality of our relationship dynamics.
Individually, Kej's connection to the four planes of existence—Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, and Physical—reminds us to nurture each aspect for overall personal stability. This day encourages physical activities that deepen our bodily consciousness, grounding ourselves in the present moment and the reality that surrounds us, and harmonizing our internal elements to create beauty in our external world.
As the four elements and directions work together to create natural harmony, we are reminded that no single element or aspect of our lives is more important than another. Consistent refinement and attention to all areas of our lives create firm and solid structures. It is a day to embrace the stability of nature's wisdom while actively pursuing personal and collective harmony.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
10 Kej
Today, the strength and determination afforded by the nawal Kej are combined with the number representing the joining of hands. It is a day to play an active role in strengthening your community.Kej is known as the strongest of the nawales, this is part of what gives it the energy to lead. Whilst the energy of Kej can be quite domineering, leaders can only retain their position if people follow them, and people will only follow them if there are some benefits to it. So whilst Kej gives a very driven energy, it does tend to be moving in a beneficial direction.
The number 10 represents community and cooperation, two hands coming together. In true community this should give rise to both giving and receiving equally amongst members of the community. Sometimes we have excess and sometimes we are deficient, our abilities and actions depend on which state we are in. –Mark Elmy
10 Kej
Today the energy brings us a healing that emerges when we reach the balance of our being, it reminds us of the importance of working integrally in ourselves, for it is by finding the harmony, development, and unification of each complementary manifestation that shapes us —physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual— that we reach our wholeness and fulfillment.
On this day, Lajuj (10) Kej allows us to find strength in the processes we are navigating, in the new being we are gestating in order to express our full potential.Let us take some time today to be with the earth, to find in our connection with her our roots and strength, to connect with the security that the day brings and feel it in our physical body, in our mind, emotions, and spirit-energy.
Let us take a moment to sense ourselves in all our expression and perceive our connection to the whole.
Let us open ourselves to realize that we have the worth, power, and capacity that we need, that we are perfect and whole, but that in order to awaken our strength and express the beautiful being that we are, we are the ones who must learn to see, feel, and recognize the immense potential we are made of. –Denise Barrios
Stag Spirit Animal:
“Masculinity”, “Gentleness”, “Healing”, “Earth Connection”, “Strength”
The stag is a symbol of vitality, manliness, elegance, instinct, maturity regeneration, and spiritual enlightenment. Among the animals, the male deer is revered. They are wise and seasoned with huge antler crowns on their shoulders that they’ve conquered in life.
The male deer are reclusive in nature, and this makes them appear out of nowhere only when we need them the most. A stag can also be seen as a symbol of strength, power, and authority.
The deer’s antlers emblems of male fertility. They are often considered to have wisdom beyond their years due to living longer than human beings.
Stags respect boundaries and laws set by humans so they remind us about our social obligations, duties, responsibilities, time, and schedules. We may feel the stag spirit animal is showing up in our lives to remind us about some of these things, so we need to pay attention to where boundaries are set and follow them without question.
Stag symbols show up when we need to act on our instincts and trust ourselves in order to get through life’s obstacles.
In what areas of my life can I invite more stability and groundedness? What agreements or commitments, both spoken and unspoken, need my attention and possible refinement? How can I ensure these agreements are mutually beneficial and in alignment with my highest integrity?
