Imox Glyph: The glyph of Imox represents the water lily — whole, complete, floating upon still water. It is not merely a flower; it is a cosmogram. The water lily emerges from the depths and blooms at the surface — rooted in the darkness below, open to the light above. In this single image, the entire teaching of Imox is contained.
Imox: Subtle energy is compared with water. In the creation story of the Pop Wuj, everything emerges from water. The energy of life surges from water. Dense material comes first — and then, little by little, it evolves, refines, until it becomes the sacred Ceiba tree.
The word for ‘madness’ or ‘craziness’ in this tradition comes from the concept of submerging into the primordial waters and energy — of becoming disintegrated there, as material disappears and reappears in the depths. This is not a warning against the waters, but a recognition of their power: they are the origin of everything, including us. We come from these waters. We are continuously channeling them.
Imox, then, is about becoming conscious of what is happening in our present reality — of the primordial current that runs through all things and through us. –Tat Juan Carlos Romero
Diana’s Observations:
Imox — nawal of primordial waters — moves today with the anchoring, leading force of Power 11. Symbol of creation’s first dream, the irrational and the imaginative, Imox draws us into the landscapes beneath ordinary thought. Here, its artistic intelligence meets the maturing, legitimizing current of 11. On 11 Imox, creativity is granted a seat of authority, allowing originality to ripen into a lasting, meaningful contribution.
As a thread of channeled vision within the weave of the B’atz Trecena, 11 Imox is not only about personal insight; it’s an artistry that shapes the larger tapestry of history and destiny. Creativity moves, receives, and breathes here, porous and capable of sudden breakthrough or a major leap forward. As the 11 tone stabilizes our channel, mastery enters—not as egoic virtuosity, but as a creative authority born of devotion, sacrifice, and a deepened relationship with the material. Today, the wild, primordial waters of Imox are given pillars, channels, and banks, so the river can irrigate a world instead of simply flooding it.
Creative mastery also gestures toward a sense of “flow state”—awareness at ease while action organizes itself from a deeper intelligence. In this current, our skills and intuitive knowing cooperate seamlessly, and choice can feel both precise and effortless. Accumulated insight, craft, and meaning become second nature, and responses become more fluid. On this day, practiced discipline and solid ground allow a near-magical alignment of ideas and actions—like a current we’re simply made to move with.
Today invites a willingness to see life itself as a creative medium—choices, relationships, and rhythms arranged to reveal the sacred in ordinary moments. It’s less about controlling movement and more about consenting to become an instrument of creation. Mastery becomes a deep receptivity, a readiness to be mastered by Creativity itself. The key is to surrender to a greater Presence and let it reshape our sense of what it means to weave a life. From this place, what rises from the depths can become a lasting, healing thread in the fabric of time.
Crocodile Spirit Animal:
The Crocodile, or Itzam Cab Ain in Yucatec Maya, is a primary cosmic and earth-related deity. Its significance is foundational, representing the earth itself and the primordial waters from which the world emerged.
In Yucatec tradition and across Mesoamerican cosmology, as referenced in texts like the Chilam Balam, the crocodile embodies creation, power, and the duality of water and earth. Its habitat—the murky, liminal space between the land and the water—makes it a powerful symbol of the threshold between different realms.
The crocodile’s powerful jaw and silent, watchful nature are symbols of primal force and unwavering strength. It is a representation of the Earth Lord and a protector of both the physical world and the sacred underworld. The crocodile’s scales are also a metaphor for the rugged, fertile landscape of the earth.
The Crocodile spirit animal can be invoked when one needs to anchor themselves during a time of great change or to tap into their primal, creative energy. It is also called upon for its wisdom in being patient and waiting for the right moment to act, as it is a master of still, focused power.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
11 Imox
Imox does have some positive qualities with regards to creation and nurture, but it is also associated with insanity. It can be seen as the eccentric artist able to beautifully interpret their dreams or sentiment of society through their preferred medium, but who find great challenge living in the physical world. This generally comes as a result of their level of receptivity, they feel everything the collective feels, the joy and the grief.Possibly the most effective use of this day would be as a creative retreat. Disconnect from the media, in particular, get out into nature and allow your creative side to be inspired. Choose wisely who you let into your consciousness today, you may not realize whose thoughts you are thinking. –Mark Elmy
11 Imox
In this day the power and wisdom of Julajuj Imox is manifested.Imox speaks to us about sensitivity, not only as the ability to connect with our emotional plane, but also as the ability to perceive more subtle energies. Imox reminds us that we are sensitive beings, with senses and perceptions that constantly guide us.
Imox is also the energy and wisdom of water, an element that teaches us the importance of flowing, adaptability and movement. In the chain of creation, Imox emerges so that we can break the structures of material reality and thus connect with the energetic. The energies that manifest each day show us that our path of learning in this plane is an awakening toward the being that we are, a being that contains within itself all the power and wisdom.
Today Julajuj Imox reminds us that everything is a mental state and that by breaking the limits of that perception we can access the true potential that exists within us. –Denise Barrios

Where am I being asked to become a channel for my creative sparks, and how could I bring this into the material today?
