Ajaw K’at reminds us that much of our evolution comes from learning to let go, shedding what we are not in order to become our true and authentic selves. This is a perfect moment to free ourselves and get closer to our purpose. -Denise Barrios

K’at Glyph: The glyph signifies the energy of gravity. It is represented by the sphere, trapped in the groove at the bottom, which divides the base into the two magnetic poles.
K’at is the net, the snare, the problems that entrap us. This sign is also the power to unite the people and elements required to do what we need to do.
The net is used to store the things that will feed us in the future, not only physical things, such as corn and panela but also what is invisible: our memories, everything we learn, our experiences, and the transcendent moments in life. It also represents entanglement – the problems that are of our own making or those created by destiny in order to teach us.
K’at means everyone shapes their own thoughts, either positively or negatively. –Carlos Barrios
Diana’s Observations:
Today’s K’at, the nawal of weaving, magnetism and entanglement, adjusts and organizes with Power 11. K’at helps us gather what’s essential and remove excess weight and obstacles from our path. The strength of 11 amplifies K’at’s tests, calling us to make necessary changes, payments, or sacrifices to restore order. 11 K’at is a day to sift through our tangible and intangible collections, separating the useful from the unnecessary for a lighter journey ahead.
The overarching theme of I’x embodies astuteness and agility, and today’s 11 K’at highlights the order needed to move plans and ideas forward with greater efficiency. K’at symbolizes self-induced entrapments and obstacles, offering opportunities to recognize the burdensome knots we often create unconsciously in our lives. 11 grants us its strength and dissolving essence to untangle ourselves from these binds.
K’at also signifies the power of attraction, community, and weaving meaningful connections. Its association with gravity lets us sense the contrasting vibrations between lightness and heaviness in our associations. Enhanced by the intuitive nature of I’x and the separating essence of 11, this day helps us draw on our bodily instincts to make informed decisions about collaborations, exchanges, and which burdens or connections are ready to be released.
With consciousness, reverence, and patience, 11 K’at assures us that we can disentangle ourselves from any issue to cultivate order and supportive interactions. Ultimately, it invites us to recognize which resources and exchanges energize us and which drain us, guiding us toward a lighter, more focused path.

Spider Spirit Animal:
Creative power is often associated with a yin quality, given the generative birthing power of the feminine. The spider’s delicate form holds within it the capacity to build out of itself a web. The timing, design, and placement of what the spider weaves allows it to receive the abundance of the flow of life.
There is an alchemical axiom to consider when called upon to tap into your creativity known as “ora et labora” – pray and labor. Spider medicine asks that we meditate into what we create so that a union of consciousness and the products of our labor will facilitate rapid and therapeutic growth.
This practice also opens the channel of synergy between oneself and the external creative genus to proliferate an intercourse of channeled artistry. –Brynja Magnusson
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
11 K’at
It is possible that today you can bundle many different ideas, and that these ideas will lead to an abundant master plan. Be prepared to do some editing at a later date, to cut away the excess before setting out on the journey. The animal associated with the nawal K’at is the spider, she who sits within her woven net. If caught in a spider’s web, one must consider carefully the course of action. Erratic movement trying to escape the web may lead to becoming even more entangled. Worse they may attract the attention of the spider, even if it seems the correct move to make. This could be a representation of today.
Think carefully about your direction before making your moves, as there may be many possibilities in front of you. What consequence does each possibility bring? Ensure that you do not become to bound to something which ultimately holds you back. –Mark Elmy
11 K’at
Changing our perspective can open paths where we once saw limits.K’at is an energy through which both what entangles and limits us, and what holds and expands us, can emerge. Its wisdom shows us that sometimes becoming entangled is part of the path to freedom.
But it also reminds us that we have the power to choose whether to focus on limitations and knots, or to see freedom, to recognize that we have a web that gathers everything we need in our path: gifts, wisdom, love, abundance. May we not forget that what we choose to see becomes our truth. –Denise Barrios

Ive just spent the day in Norse wisdom ceremony with a small group of people and my Norse wisdom teacher. A powerful day if high magic and weaving in the wyrd. Grief came up for me in the form of dead birds, a carrier pigeon, recently shot down, who I sang for and then buried in the roots of an ancient oak tree. This led to a spell poem for community on grief. Also for myself as I face many shifts and changes in my life. The letting go. The shedding. Tears were shed into the well of memory.
Unloading...gathering...organizing. I read today's Mayan reading after waking up with a mission to transform my daughter's playroom - mission accomplished! Thank you 11 K'at! :)
