11 (Junlajuj): 11 days have tremendous strength, temperance and power, which must be used very carefully.
11 is neither positive nor negative, but is completely neutral, and symbolizes the sacred balance of life.
Some Mayan Masters see 11 as representing the totality of the past, present and future, of everything that happens, evolves and develops over time.
11 days have great potential, but can also influence a tendency to wander without direction. 11 days can influence collecting experience through many wanderings.
From SaqBe.org:
11 is an energy that contains many tests and payments – spiritual and mental order – action of dividing, sorting, separating, putting in order, and sharing.
Kej Glyph: The glyph represents a closed hand creating a circuit of energy that charges the four cardinal points, as represented by the four fingers, boosted by the thumb. –Carlos Barrios
Kej: Embodying stability and balance, Kej is the nawal of the four cardinal points of the Earth and represents the four primary elements of earth, water, fire, and air.
It also carries the four states of the human experience and the four colors of humanity: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual, and the colors of yellow, white, red, and black.
On Kej days, the Maya pray for harmony throughout the natural world and among all human beings–these are propitious days to ask for strength to avoid betrayal and handle the difficulties in our lives. –Brigitte Rasine11 Kej
The strength of the nawal Kej combines with the strong and directionless energy of the number 11. This is a day to be aware of the strength of actions and which direction they are heading towards.
From the idea of Kej representing either a deer or a horse (as it is translated in modern day K’iche) this could be seen as a stampede, all that force and energy in no particular direction. This is a day where you may need to be more aware than usual of what is going on around you and prepare to take evasive action if necessary.
It is a day to be aware of your own determination towards making something happen, awareness of the strength you may be working with.
Are you really aware of the direction in which it is taking you?
This is certainly not a day to attempt to tame the wild within or in others, but a wandering in the forest may provide strong experiences which you incorporate at a later time. If you do choose to walk in the wilderness today, follow your instincts rather than a set path.
You may find new strength in your discoveries. –Mark Elmy
11 Kej
Today we remember the wisdom of Kej, the guardian of balance and strength.[11] offers us experiences that are essential for our personal and spiritual evolution.
The energies of today invite us to rediscover our potential by connecting with the beauty, simplicity, and abundance that surrounds us.
Let us decide today to bring consciousness and love into everything we do.
Let us put our feet on the ground, feel the connection with the present, and listen with an open heart to the signs that guide us, so that each one becomes an opportunity for our evolution. –Denise Barrios
Stag Spirit Animal: “Masculinity, Regeneration, Guidance, Gentleness, Healing, Connection to the Earth and the Forest, Alertness, Psychic Power, Strength”
The stag is a symbol of vitality, elegance, instinct, maturity regeneration, and spiritual enlightenment. Among the animals, the male deer is revered.
They are wise and seasoned with huge antler crowns on their shoulders that they’ve conquered in life.
The male deer are reclusive in nature, and this makes them appear out of nowhere only when we need them the most.
A stag can also be seen as a symbol of strength, power, and authority.
The deer’s antlers emblems of male fertility. They are often considered to have wisdom beyond their years due to living longer than human beings.
Stags respect boundaries and laws set by humans so they remind us about our social obligations, duties, responsibilities, time, and schedules.
We may feel the stag spirit animal is showing up in our lives to remind us about some of these things, so we need to pay attention to where boundaries are set and follow them without question.
Stag symbols show up when we need to act on our instincts and trust ourselves in order to get through life’s obstacles. We should not let fear guide us, but rather follow the stag totem and spirit animal guides’ path of strength and power with courage. -Alltotems.com
Diana’s Notes:
Today brings a message of tempering strength, and focus is key. 11 is an odd number and can influence instability, so perhaps deer/stag medicine reminds us to have our metaphorical four legs planted firmly on the ground today, and to soften our walk in the process with love and gentleness (deer medicine).
With our four states of consciousness (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) in balanced motion, our ability to meet tests and challenges of the 11 can come with greater ease.
In any case, we’re in a process of learning, organizing, and perhaps, reevaluating our approach in problem solving or advancing our work through the influence of the No’j Trecena.
Whatever may arise, the noble, curious, and prudent qualities of No’j will be supportive, and doubly so if we choose to be in the spirit of learning. Today we’re invited to become aware of our strength and focus in learning.
All Kej days are auspicious to intend and pray for strength, agility, and clarity in life, and to sustain and cultivate equilibrium in all facets of our lives.
I awoke with the feeling of wandering without direction but maybe I can right that. Thanks for today's interpretation.
