Some nawales are associated with particular numbers, the number representing a similar energy to the nawal. 12 K’at is one of these, with both K’at and 12 representing bundling or gathering together. -Mark Elmy

K’at Glyph: The glyph signifies the energy of gravity. It is represented by the sphere, trapped in the groove at the bottom, which divides the base into the two magnetic poles. –Carlos Barrios
K’at: Within its vast body of meaning, K’at signifies the Net, in all of the diversity of senses of the word: a fisherman’s net, a woven net of fruits or vegetables, a network, a spider’s web.
In addition, it is the patron of storerooms and pantries and refers to the gathering of resources; and finally, it carries the concepts of captivity, punishment, social traps, and lawsuits.
K’at is the nawal of fire, namely that which keeps a home running, and of prisons both visible and invisible, material and intangible. –Brigitte Rasine
Diana’s Observations:
Today, K’at—the nawal of the net, collection, and entanglements—weaves with the social energy of Power 12. Symbolizing all the tangible and intangible material we gather throughout life, K’at tunes our awareness to the resources that can either support our journey or ensnare and weigh us down. 12 sums and reflects our connections, experiences, and social bonds that shape our reality. On 12 K’at, these ties may offer fertile, regenerative potential or highlight burdens—especially within associations—that are ready to be released.
As we near the culmination of the communal and renewing themes of the Aj Trecena, 12 K’at invites us to reflect on what we’ve gathered—be it lessons, achievements, cooperation, or resources—and consider how these shape our goals and life path. This is a moment to sense whether what we’ve collected brings freedom, or if it carries complications, exhaustion, or entanglements. K’at marks an auspicious time to untie what feels knotted, allowing us to consciously clear obstacles from our path.
With both 12 and K’at signifying gathering and unity, this day encourages coming together—whether for reunions, family gatherings, or work group meetings—to cultivate collective strength and share ideas for mutual growth. Within the Aj Trecena’s theme of multiplication and nourishment that sustains community, 12 K’at symbolizes weaving a tapestry of abundance—growth that benefits all and supports the flourishing of the whole.
The unraveling nature of K’at, combined with the securing power of 12, calls us to focus on cultural events and social circumstances that inspire solutions. It invites us to transform complexities through what we’ve gathered and learned. This energy encourages us to meet challenges with companionship and the wisdom of experience. In doing so, it reveals the leadership qualities within us, supported by our unique skills and talents, as we approach the completion of the practical and spiritual guidance of the Aj Trecena.

Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
12 K’at
Today, the energies give us the opportunity to broaden our perspective, not getting trapped in our own perceptions. By freeing ourselves from the limitation of the ego, we can open up to the understanding that there are multiple ways of seeing and creating reality. On this day that calls for unity and sharing, let us take advantage of the chance to nourish ourselves with visions that are different from our ours.
Let us learn from those who have different perspectives and let us contribute with love and wisdom our own perspective. Today is a day to share all those things that K’at has allowed us to gather. –Denise Barrios
12 K’at
This could be an excellent day to gather together with people from all parts of your life, a day of reunions. You may have to be aware of how many commitments you make, the energy of nawal K’at may bind you into over overburdening yourself. With 12 representing the gathering together of all of life’s experiences and K’at representing the gathering of abundance, we can see some very positive meanings to today’s nawal.
However, there is a caution to this. Sometimes we need to be selective over which experiences we choose to combine and which experiences we choose to exclude from our bundle. There are some life experiences which have served their purpose and have now become a burden.Today is the day to ask nawal K’at to help us set ourselves free of the baggage we have collected in life, to recognize what helps us grow and what holds us back, to release the outmoded or irrelevant attachments to our past. We can then draw together our true wisdom to create a new seed to plant and take us forward. –Mark Elmy

Hi Diana, thank you again for your insightful daily posts. I was a little confused because both yesterday’s post and today’s posts say “ daily energy for July 9” at the top.
I checked your Tre’cena calendar just to confirm. I think it’s just the heading that is off. Just FYI. Thank you again. I look forward to these every day. ❤️
