Diana’s Observations:
Tz’i, the nawal of authority, loyalty, and order, merges with the social and integrative Power 12 today. Embodying law, accuracy, and justice, Tz’i brings balance and reliability by placing things in their rightful place. With the communal, connective nature of 12, this day manages justice across relationships, networks, and collaborations. 12 Tz’i marks a time for integrating minds and hearts through order, agreements, and fairness.
Nearing the culmination of the Kawoq Trecena’s social expansion, 12 Tz’i brings truth, integrity, and precision to strengthen and secure meaningful connections and commitments. In Mayan ancestral tradition, 12 Tz’i is known as the day of the Midwife’s work, assisting new life emerging through the birth canal—a metaphor for creation born of shared effort and mutual trust. This suggests the potential for something new and vital to arise through balanced teamwork and the strength of unity.
The potent, activating energy of 12 can also stir up complications—especially when paired with Tz’i, revealing challenges where actions or relationships lack integrity. Kawoq’s broader influence echoes the potential for difficulty or conflict in connections. In such moments, Tz’i calls for truth, precision, and clarity to find resolution. This day reminds us that, with intention, even conflict can become a birth canal—leading to renewal, fairness, and deeper connection through shared effort and faith in the process.
Ultimately, this day calls us to synthesize and integrate shared values, perspectives, and collaborations. As 12 guides us to find meaning in our experiences, Tz’i reminds us to trust our individual journey and have faith in the group dynamics shaping our collective path. It’s an auspicious time to live in integrity with ourselves and others—while attuning to the deeper intelligence that emerges through our connections, weaving new realities for both the individual and the whole.

Dog Spirit Animal
In Mayan culture, dogs hold a significant spiritual role, often viewed as guides for the deceased in their journey to the underworld. They are associated with the underworld, Xibalba, and are believed to carry souls across water after death, symbolizing their role as protectors and guides. Their actions often reflect moral lessons about humanity's relationship with nature and the divine.
Invoke the Dog spirit for guidance in transitions, particularly during times of change or loss. Dog is the ideal spiritual ally during personal transitions or when facing the unknown. Another significant reason to connect with the dog spirit animal is to enhance loyalty and companionship in one's life.
The dog symbolizes unwavering loyalty and serves as a reminder of the importance of these qualities in relationships. Invoking this spirit can help individuals cultivate deeper connections with loved ones and reinforce the values of trust and fidelity within their relationships.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
12 Tz’i
What we have learned in our lives may have shown us where qualities like faith and loyalty get us. Sometimes we misplace them, we trust people who betray us, we give our loyalty to companies who use us. We get a few kicks along the way which are supposed to help us discern, so that the next time, we know where to place our trust.Sometimes betrayal is of our own doing, an opportunity presents itself (or herself, or himself) which just seems too right to be wrong. Our loyalty to our commitments disappears from the thought process, then we have to deal with the consequences. Today may be a day where an situation such as this occurs.
However, the other side of this day has great potential. This is a day to use your life experience to bring out your ability to trust in your path, to show your loyalty and most importantly of all, to love unconditionally. –Mark Elmy
12 T'zi
By being aware of our own being and respecting ourselves, we emanate respect towards others. We exist in this plane of reality because we have a purpose; our life is a valuable teaching, not only for us but also for those around us. That is why we must take responsibility for our actions and walk our authentic path without disrupting someone else’s journey, remembering the autonomy we all are gifted with.
Tz’i’ invites us today to connect with our true essence, to recognize the tools we possess to fulfill our mission. Let us remember that the wise elders taught us that the energy with which we were born is perfect, it is aligned with our mission; all the capabilities we need reside within us. Let us build with responsibility and power through them. –Denise Barrios
✍🏼 Journal Prompts of the Day:
Where can I invite more truth and trust into my relationships today?
How can I contribute to teamwork that allows something vital to emerge?
What conflict can I view as an opportunity for mutual expansion and renewal?

I have definitely been experiencing “Social Expansion” during this Kawoq Trecena! And all with women, not surprisingly. Women that I planted seeds of relationship with for a number of years have all showed up to be watered. Birthing something new today with one. She asked me to create a ceremony for her and her husband and I am gifting it to her today. Perhaps a new creation that I will offer to others. I feel very supported by these energies.
