Toj Glyph: The glyph represents a wheel and its axis. It represents Grandfather Sun and his strength. It is a circle, symbolizing the law of cause and effect. –Carlos Barrios
Toj: A sign of harmony, balance, and equilibrium, Toj embodies not only the power, freedom, and inner peace that these states of grace carry, but also all of the struggles and challenges we go through to achieve and maintain them in our lives.
It is, in a word, the sign of karma, the sign of payment and the energy of the law of action and reaction that the concept of karma carries.
It also represents offering, payment, fines, and debt. –Brigitte Rasine
Diana’s Observations:
Today’s 13 Toj unfolds as the essence of the Spiritual Fire, where the laws of cause and effect illuminate our deeper knowing. Toj, embodying the restoration of balance through debts, fines, and offerings, invites us to reflect on how our actions resonate across the mental and spiritual realms today, guided by the No’j Trecena and 13.
13 signifies the human capacity to think, create, perform and transform. It represents both realizations and transmutation, revealing magical potentials that dwell within us and our interactions. Thus, today’s 13 Toj invites us to contemplate with heightened awareness where our commitments, sacrifices, and intentions have led us. This day calls us to examine the implications of our choices and how they help us transcend mental barriers.
The spiritual fire of today reigns over all that has transpired in the past 13 days, teaching us about the prices we pay for the rewards we seek—both through conscious efforts and unconscious actions.
Within the Trecena of No’j, what began as a seed of thought can now blossom into tangible outcomes. This cycle has empowered us to structure our commitments, refine our plans, and clarify our intentions and relationships. It has inspired the progression of our skills, resources, and knowledge into practical wisdom.
Both the teachings of No’j and the psychic, transformative energies of 13 connect us to the higher cosmic mind and the divine essence that permeates all existence. Circumstances today may lead us to recognize that the energies of causality extend beyond physical transactions; they influence our mental well-being, shaping experiences that guide us toward our higher potential.
This day is auspicious for expressing gratitude for our higher faculties—our ability to observe, create, and transform the world around us. It presents a unique opportunity to intentionally offer thanks to the higher cosmic mind and Supreme Being while praying for beneficial transmutation in any imbalanced circumstances. Toj teaches us that intentional acknowledgments empower us to restore harmony in our lives—extending our gratitude to loved ones, our lineage, our co-workers, and most of all, Great Spirit.
As the fire of Toj listens to our prayers, even a simple act like lighting a candle in gratitude can clear obstacles from our path. The purity of fire—both literal and metaphorical—empowers us to transmute energetic imbalances, aligning us with the higher principles of cause and effect.
May the completion of the No’j Trecena heighten our awareness of where we can sacrifice a bit of our time or comfort to infuse gratitude and love where it is due. May we honor any realizations, solutions, accomplishments, or lessons learned by offering to pay it back and forward with full spirit. In doing so, we prepare ourselves advantageously for the upcoming Trecena of Tz’i, ensuring we step forward in conscious and spiritual balance.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
13 Toj
The day of payment and sacrifice joins with the number which represents the ancestors and the spirit world. This is a day to resolve any ancestral debt.It may be that there is recent physical debt that needs payment, but this may involve a debt to your more distant ancestors. This is a day to say thank you to your lineage for what they have provided for you.
As the days carrying the number 13 are said to be days when the spirit world is close and good days for divination, this could also be a very good day for a divination to understand what is outstanding, and how to pay it off. This could apply to both your own personal debts, both physical and energetic, and ancestral debts. –Mark Elmy13 Toj
Let us take time today to be grateful for life, to give thanks for the circumstances we are living in this moment, for the opportunities that arise and also for those that come to an end, trusting that everything, even the difficult moments, emerge for our greater good and that living them in gratitude is the way we have to change our perception of them, it is how we can turn them into miracles. This is the last day of the No’j trecena, let us also thank this Ch’umil for every thought that was materialized, for every new knowledge and wisdom we have gained in the past thirteen days.
Let us take a moment for reflection, let us observe what happened during the trecena, so we can integrate all the learning and power received. –Denise Barrios
Puma Spirit Animal:
“Adaptability”, “Courage”, “Observant”, “Instinct”
Puma brings harmony and certainty when life is full of chaos and restlessness. It gives you greater control over your energy. It helps you to walk a balanced life between assertiveness and gentleness. It drives you to have a firm conviction.
Puma-spirited individuals are born with the gift to move silently. Just like the mammal, you maintain a subtle movement without making people aware of your thoughts and actions. They are excellent listeners and observer which help you to be able to notice things that other people may overlook.
Puma as an animal totem signifies power, instinct, and self-consciousness.
What intentions have I nurtured that ignite my passion and purpose? What imbalances in my life require my commitment to restore harmony, and what sacrifices will I need to make to achieve this? How can I express gratitude for the support I receive from Supreme Being and those around me?
