B’atz symbolizes evolution, movement, motion, and development; initiation, affirmation, and favorable divination readings; intelligence and wisdom; and especially marriage and pregnancy.
B’atz is the nawal of the arts, artists, and the art of weaving, and as such, represents all concepts and elements of life related to art and weaving, from time itself–called by the Maya “the thread of life”–to the life-connecting umbilical cord. –Brigitte Rasine
Diana’s Observations:
As the Trecena of Tz'i unfolds, illuminating divine law, integrity, and the renewal of our personal and spiritual authority, today's 2 B'atz weaves the first threads of its teachings through tests and a focus on partnerships. Intimate relationships serve as crucibles for transformative alchemy, presenting trials and interactions that may lead to profound redirections or healing as we unravel and explore deeper layers of self.
The duality of 2 represents the delicate balance between pause and movement. Interlaced with the time thread of B'atz, today's circumstances may twist, turn, and tangle our expectations, reminding us that time, healing, and relating often follow a non-linear path.
This day may invite us to pause and reexamine the commitments and plans we made during the previous Trecena of No'j, ensuring our foundations are strong and our steps forward align accurately with the balance promised by the Trecena of Tz'i.
Tz'i's overarching theme calls us to harness our primal instincts and, above all, to have faith in ourselves as we navigate the contrasts and dualities of this day. 2 B'atz may also present opportunities to disentangle from the overthinking and over-planning of the No’j Trecena, encouraging us to dance with greater fluidity in our state of being and the organic movements around us.
This day is propitious to feel into our hearts and the dance of relationships, reflecting on how we can weave the threads of our commitments, challenges, and connections into a tapestry of harmony, unity, and spiritual development.
Today may test our choices and decision-making, particularly in matters of partnerships and self-sacrifice. Yet, it also offers the potential for new beginnings, healing, and joy. By staying true to our heart's authority, we can cultivate beauty in our relationships while honoring both our own journey and that of others. In this process, we deepen our understanding of Tz'i – the divine and natural laws that govern our existence.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
2 B’atz
If there is a nawal with the energy to inspire us to create beauty, it is the nawal B’atz. It brings the energy to create, and what it creates, it usually does so with great talent. It is the weaver, not just of the everyday material, but of reality itself.Today it is combined with the number 2, representing opposing principles. They may be male and female, light and dark, horizontal and vertical, fire and water, but today comes the opportunity to create something exquisite from them.
This could also be seen as the combination of the right brain and left brain working together, the artistic and the logical.
This may take a little sacrifice, not all of the original inspiration fits into the structure, or the original structure has to change to accommodate the artistic. In whichever way it is put together, the result may truly be a marvel.
It is an auspicious day to begin to weave something beautiful together with another person. After all, this is also the trecena of Tz’i, the nawal of unconditional love. –Mark Elmy
2 B’atz
B’atz’ brings a regulating and healing energy that guides us toward finding inner harmony. Keb’[2] opens the space for us to work with the different aspects that make us whole, those we call polarities, but which we should not view as a state of separation or polarization, but as our completeness. It is the union with our entire being, where we recognize and integrate every part that shapes us, even the shadows, because everything that shapes us is what makes us whole and perfect.
The energy of this day invites us to heal with love that which needs healing within us, to recognize and care for those parts that ask to be seen and accepted. Remember, the process of integration is not a friction between opposites, nor is it a struggle with any part of our being, but an act of loving ourselves for all that we are. –Denise Barrios

In what ways can I balance the duality of pause and action to navigate relationship dynamics more harmoniously? Which partnerships in my life are inviting me to deepen my connection to my inner authority and spiritual essence?

I loved the reminder for today of 2 Keb’ to make space for the different aspects that make us whole and not see them as polarization but as completeness. 🙏🏽 I woke up feeling regret for how I answered a question at dinner last night about what area of law I want to practice. I said I was open to practice in something I was passionate about and that I was placing a lot of trust in life/my path. I felt that I should have been more committed to one thing or another, in particular their area of law. But the truth is I hold many passions and feel open to exploring these aspects of myself. 🙌🏽 I feel so affirmed by todays reading and it’s helping me soften and accept myself as I am. ♥️
