Our true power arises from the integration, unity and harmony of our being; from embracing the wholeness of who we are. –Denise Barrios

I’x: Feline and feminine in nature, I’x represents innate intuition, curiosity, and the creative forces of the universe; in fact, this is the day sign that grants the spiritual and psychological strength to reach the highest levels of consciousness, which underpins mysticism and divination. It also rules the seven human sins – from the Maya point of view: pride, ambition, envy, lies, crime, ingratitude, and ignorance through laziness. –Brigitte Rasine
Diana’s Observations:
Today, the nawal of the jaguar—primal power, stealth, and nocturnal mysteries—joins with the dual essence of Power 2. As guardian of both seen and unseen realms, I’x channels raw instinct, agility, and deep intuition. Paired with 2, symbolizing tests, balance, and measured action, 2 I’x invites strategic patience and timing. Jaguar’s energy can be both fierce and subtle, while 2 calls for delicate observation and restraint—waiting with intuitive awareness before acting impulsively.
As we begin our walk through the Aj Trecena’s gentle guidance and renewal, 2 I’x reflects its calm approach, encouraging right action through a balance of receptivity and deliberate movement. While Aj’s leadership traits focus on the core foundations of our lives, 2 I’x invites us to carefully observe the strengths and weaknesses of these foundations—home, family, community, and work relationships—before taking restorative action.
This day supports mastering the timing and adaptability of our responses—whether in transforming relationships or managing material resources. The strategic, spiritual power of I’x, combined with the contrasting choices of 2, inspires a controlled, observant patience that empowers rather than confines. Rooted in self-control, discipline, and right timing, this energy helps us navigate challenges without reactivity or fear.
Whether facing material, emotional, or mental tests—or difficult choices—this day offers an opportunity to navigate our path with the jaguar’s silent power and the wisdom of measured timing, honoring both receptivity and decisive action. Like the jaguar, we can move between night and day, uncertainty and confidence, with great agility, reflecting Aj’s strength in bridging worldly matters with spiritual insight.

Jaguar Spirit Animal:
The jaguar is seen as a guardian of the underworld and a symbol of the night, reflecting its ability to thrive in darkness. This nocturnal nature allows the jaguar to traverse the boundaries between worlds, making it a mediator between the living and the spiritual.
In K'iche' mythology, the jaguar is often depicted as a companion to deities, embodying the qualities of ferocity and protection. This connection to the divine reinforces the belief that the jaguar can guide individuals through challenges, helping them confront their fears and navigate the complexities of life.
The jaguar's hunting abilities also highlight the importance of timing and patience, traits that are essential for both the animal and humans seeking to achieve their goals. Just as the jaguar waits for the perfect moment to strike its prey, individuals are encouraged to recognize and seize opportunities in their own lives.
This understanding of timing is crucial for personal growth and success, emphasizing the need for awareness and adaptability in various situations.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
2 I’x
On this day, the energies invite us to become aware that the sacred female and male are not only essential parts of existence, but also of each of us.
Masculine energy drives the action of our feminine creativity, allowing us to materialize our dreams, and the feminine energy brings awareness to our masculine side so that we can express ourselves without fear, with lightness and authenticity. Each of these energies empowers the other in its qualities, resonating in a powerful and sacred union that elevates our spiritual being in this material plane. –Denise Barrios
2 I’x
One of the major lessons attached to the nawal Ix is gratitude. In the dazzling brilliance of our “magical” abilities to transform base materials, we forget to say thank you. Without her we have no home, without her we have no life.Today is a day to not just say thank you but to take action to show your gratitude. The gift of your energy and your time are the greatest sacrifices you can make to show your gratitude.
Take some time to show your gratitude to the Earth, and help to undo some of the damage humans have caused. Perhaps pick up some litter or help to restore some beauty to the natural world around you. While you do so, make a little prayer of gratitude for all that sustains your life. –Mark Elmy
✍🏼 Journal Prompts of the Day:
In my relationships, work, and personal growth, where am I called to pause and observe with calm awareness before taking action?
How can a clear understanding of my strengths and weaknesses empower me to navigate the challenges I face more effectively?
How can I use this clarity to strengthen my foundations?
This is so appropriate for today. I created a feminine flower offering at ' The Salary Temple' this morning; I am dancing in circle with fellow belly dancers tonight, such a feminine practice, rooted in the womb; I am having to take stock so pausing too. Female conversation is the key word of today too. Beautiful jaguar.
I had a small bird in my screened back porch this morning. I then open my screen door to let him out and it went behind a giant frame we use for shade and got out. I went to investigate how it got out, there was a small hole behind the frame within our screen and right next to the hole was our sweet gum tree and a black cat sitting there waiting, we caught eye to eye...too funny.
