Ajmaq Glyph: The glyph signifies the mind in a state of forgiveness and illumination. It is a brain with rays, lines of expansion, reaching out in all directions.
Ajmaq embodies our connection to the long history of life through evolution, through the millions of years that have elapsed and blessed our planet with the diversity of life we see today, and the sanctity of consciousness, free will, and love. Ajmaq also represents forgiveness, pardon, sin, and pleasure. It is the nawal of all faults and vices. But it also symbolizes gifts and Mother Earth, and is the nawal of the Earth itself. –Brigitte Rasine
Diana’s Observations:
Today, Ajmaq—the nawal of curiosity, reconciliation, and clarity—converges with the results-driven essence of Power 3. Ajmaq embodies the full journey from blind error to crystallized awareness, while the essence of 3 bears its introspective fruits, focusing on the gifts, virtues, motives, fears, and insecurities that emerge from our inner world, shaping our essence and forming our reality.
Ajmaq offers us the chance to learn from our weaknesses, transforming fog into clarity, error into redemption, and discord into sweetness. Its link to the auric field invites us to slow down and tune in, reflecting on our thoughts, words and actions as the building blocks of our life path and present reality. Ajmaq also calls us to consider the health and productivity of our relationships, and the clarity present in our exchanges.
Embraced by the sensitive, inner-learning qualities of the I’x Trecena, 3 Ajmaq is a day to gently enter contemplation with curiosity, exploring what needs correction or acknowledgment, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. This combination also suggests profound alignment with self-realization through conscious acts of self-forgiveness.
Associated with the origin and creation of the candle, Ajmaq points to the inner light—the spark of divinity intrinsic to all human beings. Its essence also touches upon the natural intelligence of Mother Earth, our ancestry, future generations, and the wisdom carried through our genetic lineage. 3 Ajmaq reminds us to cherish our lives as manifestations of all these elements, and to embrace the sweetness of accepting ourselves as imperfect humans within a broader intelligence, plan, and ancestral journey.

Bee Spirit Animal:
In Mesoamerican cultures, particularly among the ancient Maya, the stingless bee Melipona beecheii was considered sacred and closely linked to the bee god Ah Muzen Cab, symbolizing a spiritual connection to the divine and the natural world.
Beekeeping and honey harvesting were deeply ritualized practices, believed to bring practitioners closer to the gods and integral to religious ceremonies, reflecting the bees’ vital role in both sustenance and spirituality.
The importance of bees extended beyond practical use, embodying themes of community, productivity, and the cyclical nature of life within Mesoamerican cosmology.–Rutopia
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
3 Ajmaq
Ajmaq days are not always easy to negotiate. They are the days when we learn our limitations, although they are also days which have the potential to restore our faith in humanity. They are days on which we may experience the best, and worst qualities of human nature. They remind us of what it is to be human, both through the ways of compassionate forgiveness, and through actions which give rise to the need to forgive. These are how we learn, but we do not need to keep running the same program once we have learned what we need to.
What you create internally, you project out to the world, and today you have the potential to truly bring the sweetness into your home, particularly through acts of self forgiveness. –Mark Elmy3 Ajmaq
Only by discovering and knowing ourselves can we stop believing the stories that limit us. Now that the trecena calls us to awaken the magic that lives within us, Ajmaq reminds us of our deep inner vision, of the connection to who we are and to all we have yet to uncover. The Elders see in Ajmaq an energy that guides our awakening. It is turning inward, the inner recognition, and it is also the curiosity to learn from what surrounds us and to connect with the wisdom that emerges in everyday life. Oxib’ [3] brings the mental and creative movement that opens us to change.
Today’s energetic convergence reminds us that when we lack clarity about who we are and why we are here, life can feel confusing, and in the process of discovering ourselves we must remember that many of our limitations begin in the mind, but it is also there that we find the possibility for transformation. –Denise Barrios
