Kawoq is family, meetings, group, society, community, country, and continent–anything that can be grouped. It means the strength of unity, greater consciousness, the unfolding of the cosmic plan, growth, fertility.
It is the energy for abundance, in both the material and spiritual sense. It is the energy that brings good harvests.
Kawoq symbolizes the woman or the wife and the sacred spiritual staff. It is individuals seen as a unit, and the assumption of an imaginary leadership role. –Carlos Barrios
Diana’s Observations:
Today’s working hands of Power 5 guide Kawoq, the nawal of storms, cleansing, and collective growth. Tasks and challenges that arise today may ultimately reveal greater clarity and expansion. After yesterday’s purifying cuts of 4 Tijax, today’s 5 Kawoq can fill the new spaces created with nurturing rains and lightning flashes of insight.
Working with the visionary qualities of the Tz’ikin Trecena to prosper on all levels also means refining our capacity to uplift and strengthen our relationships—family, community, clients, and networks. 5 Kawoq echoes this, as both 5 and Kawoq symbolize the strength of unity and working for the common good.
While 5 calls for service and contribution, Tz’ikin’s overarching influence inspires liberation from social conditioning that can limit our vision of prosperity—of what it truly means to us as individuals. This highlights the delicate balance between personal growth and our connections to society, inviting us to consider whether our actions and service align with the heart of the true self, and thus, with the highest good of all.
Kawoq’s turtle medicine reminds us of patience and perseverance. Though our purpose and direction may not always be clear, and results may not come immediately, dedication and love will continue to clear the path forward.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
5 Kawoq
Is the “sense of belonging” necessary for your development as a human being and for your spiritual work, or does being an individual give you more freedom to reach that fullness? There are two aspects, one is the education with which we are formed, this is imminently communitarian. Our formation is within the family; our education, our work, everything revolves around society.
The difficulty is that its values are essentially materialistic, there is little concern for the common good, we have lost that value and we give little importance to spiritual evolution; success is more focused on the economic, physical, and academic aspects.
On the other hand, there are individualistic people who isolate from the community, although they interact with other humans, they do not feel part of any social, ethnic, or even family group. They are dominated by a sense of selfishness that tends to isolation and rarely is it oriented to the importance of inner or spiritual development.
Human beings have an individual phase and our destiny is solely our responsibility, no one can live our life. At most they can support our path, teach us, but ultimately, it is us who are in charge of our destiny. We have the responsibility of our purpose in life, we can not pass it on to anyone, absolutely no one.
Along the way we find just what we need to evolve: obstacles, tests, challenges, everything that delays us in this evolution, but also the positive aspects, the people, and situations that help us to evolve.
There is also our community phase; our environment, destiny, and evolution are linked to the family, to the community, to our country, ethnicity, and in general to humanity.
Therefore, we have to take responsibility for the things we must do, but also have clarity in order not to let ourselves be dragged by situations that do not correspond to us. Being an individual is a responsibility of your being, it is entirely yours. Being part of the community is to become a light that guides others. -Carlos Barrios
5 Kawoq
Kawoq helps us navigate through our problems by washing away the things we no longer need in our lives. The day 5 Kawoq is a day to focus your energies on bringing new growth into your world. Whether it truly is bringing a new life into the world, or a project you have been working on, the energy of today is conducive with working to clear the way to allow its smooth passage from the darkness into the light.
That is not to say that this process will be entirely free of resistance, some work may be required to ensure a safe arrival, but the results should be worth the effort. –Mark Elmy
Turtle Spirit Animal:
“Determination”, “Perseverance”, “Patience”, “Longevity”,
The Turtle totem teaches us to be determined and remain strong despite obstacles. It supports us in pursuing our path, step by step, even if it takes time. It urges us to follow its example, to slow down, to trust and to be patient: the expected results will eventually come.
It suggests that we are where we're supposed to be and to savor the benefits of each moment. It guides us towards a sense of security and helps us to achieve peace of mind.
Turtles know how to be cautious. It teaches us that it's important to know when to withdraw to guarantee our safety or to preserve our peace of mind. www.fauna-protect.com
