Tz’ikin: Tz’ikin is the far-seeing Eagle, the great bird that soars far above the highest peaks of mountains and pyramids, high above the din of mankind, where only sacred silence and the breath of winds reign.
Sweeping across vast stretches of sky on broad, powerful wings, Tz’ikin enters the dreams of men and women to impart important messages and revelations.
Made of legend, his breadth and acuity of vision surpasses that of any other living thing, and this is why this day sign embodies vision, clarity, perception, and profound understanding. –Brigitte Rasine
6 Tz’ikin
The nawal Tz’ikin is seen as a messenger from the Heart of the Sky. It spends its time in the air and on the ground, and in this way it brings us messages from above. When it reaches the great height, it brings the vision, of what is around us and where to proceed, and as such is seen as the visionary. These visions also lead us to potential prosperity. Tz’ikin is usually seen as a fortunate energy, although sometimes it can be rather easily distracted.
Tz’ikin is another day of manifestation, and is particularly associated with the ability to do this through the use of the word. With the stability brought to it by the number 6, this can be seen as a day to visualize what you seek in life. It is a balanced energy, giving rise to stable and sustainable prosperity. –Mark Elmy
6 Tz’ikin
Tz’ikin is the energy that opens the space for us to communicate with the supreme. This Ch’umil, represented by the bird of power, allows us to elevate ourselves towards the Heart of the Sky, to move through space-time without losing our connection to Mother Earth, to reach the higher wisdom and connect with our deepest spirituality.
The feathers, which represent the energy of this power animal, were used in ancient times by the rulers and Ajq’ijab’ [Mayan Spiritual Guides] as a symbol of their magic, power, and connection.
Tz’ikin is the sacred vision, the capacity we have to see beyond the apparent. From its force comes the vision of the future, for this is the Ch’umil that activates our dormant senses, that provides us with the gift of intuition and vision.
Its energy protects us and brings us good fortune, opening possibilities not only in the material world but in every manifestation; luck, good relationships, love, and all fortune are activated through its power.
The number Waqib’ (6) is an energy that brings forth the trials that give us learning, that drive us to work on our development. This number is connected to the material world and it is through its teachings in this tangible reality that it impels us to reach our greatest potential not only on the physical plane, but also emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. –Denise Barrios
Eagle Spirit Animal:
“The Inspiring Messenger”, “Embracing an Elevated Perspective”, “Great Spirit”, “Renewal”.
From high above, the Eagle symbolizes an awareness of those mysteries that humans find difficult to grasp. Eagle’s vantage point allows him to discover patterns that guide us toward greater spiritual knowledge.
Eagle, as a Spirit Animal, puts you on notice that the winds of change are headed your way. Eagle prepares you for that change by showing you how to tap your inner strength and fortitude.
Eagle is a mover and shaker who stretches your limits to new heights. On his wings, he bears determination and the laser-sharp focus to get through to the other side of our problems.
Some of this symbolism and meaning has to do with ancient lore regarding the Eagle flying so close to the sun. As a metaphor, “we must be willing to get a little scorched if we are to achieve greatness”. -Bernadette King
Diana’s Notes:
Today speaks of centering our vision to co-create with the guidance of the Tz’i Trecena in renewing our sense of self-authority.
Tz’ikin, represented by the eagle, quetzal, or condor in some traditions, mythologically carries the sun during its day time journey through the Sky.
Today points to ‘how’ we’re centering (6) our visionary capacity in connection with the divine energy of the Heart of the Sky while keeping ourselves grounded and rooted to the Heart of the Earth. Are we guided by Divinity in our work, relationships, and creations on the physical and earthly plane?
If the Tz’i Trecena, in essence, points to the inner guide of our conscience – our personal authority prioritized over social influences and conditioning, today’s 6 Tz’ikin may remind us that our direct connection and holy service to Great Spirit is the greatest source of our decisions, plans, and practical abilities to strategize our movement forward in life.
It is a day to pay attention to dreams, synchronicities, and insights birthed from our keenest intuition.
What we may perceive as luck or fortune can simply be confirmations that we are following this principle, in accordance to Natural Law.
In a powerful description of the energy of Tz’i that influences us during this 13-day cycle, Carlos Barrios states:
"The first Fathers gave us the laws known as the Natural Order that governed the Classic Mayan world. These are practical, uncomplicated rules based on the harmony that reigns in nature."
While most of society follows and stumbles over conditioning, ideologies, distortions, and rules set by man, there is another supreme, governing principle that supersedes these man-made limitations. Today carries a beautiful invitation to tap into this in order to bring greater prosperity and a higher vision into our lives.
How can I strengthen my connection to the divine source within my being, and how is this granting me a higher vision? How can I center my vision today in accordance to the guidance I am receiving from Great Spirit?
Love this "Message from the heart of the sky." I'll think about that one for a long while today, thanks.
