Ajpu is overcoming negative energy. It is the victor, the male, the man, the boss, the spiritual warrior, the hunter, Jun Ajpu, and Ixb’alamke. It is the day of Ajaw, the Great Father, and his solar representation, a day of greatness and the strength of life.
Ajpu governs lunar and solar eclipses and represents the [mythological] ball game. It brings material and spiritual certainty. It is the realization of the solar body. It is transformation, mutation, and acuity. It is the warrior, the companion, the traveler, the dancer, and the artist, maker of wonders. It is the soothsayer – the diviner and vanquisher of spells – the lord of flowers, master and heir to the power of light. –Carlos Barrios
Diana’s Observations:
Ajpu, the nawal of battles, talent, and solar strength, shines its brilliance upon the summit of Power 7 today. Ajpu grants us the courage to face challenges and overcome obstacles, while 7’s visionary qualities help us see possibilities from many angles and perceive beyond our mental limitations.
Evaluative and introspective, 7 supports the integration of lessons before important decisions are made. Ajpu sharpens this process with its resilience, precision, and acuity. Within the underworld themes of the I’x Trecena, 7 Ajpu can mark a crucial and brave step—embodying conquest over darkness in this 13-day cycle.
As I’x continues to inspire instinct, timeliness, and agility, this powerful day symbolizes fixing our vision directly on the mark of what we wish to achieve. The key is to aim decisively at one goal, and to do so with confidence.
7’s dual nature brings both difficulties, perceived failures, and problems, as well as solutions, opportunities, and achievement. Illuminated by Ajpu, this tension becomes a point of balance, inviting warrior-spirited, transformative action to triumph over pessimism or weakness.
This day can also signify the ending and completion of a cycle or pattern, ready to be transformed by our innate talents and measured strategies. It invites us to expand our potential by courageously choosing the right path—perhaps stepping away from the familiar, well-worn routes toward a new way that more deeply aligns with our higher vision of self.
Characterized by the decisive magician, 7 Ajpu invites us to relinquish prideful control and self-interest, replacing them with the divine magnetism of curious optimism, serving a higher, collective vision.

Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
7 Ajpu
This is the time to ignite our inner spark so that, united and supporting each other, we create a light that dispels the darkness. In this trecena, we are discovering that each of us, without exception, holds immense personal gifts and power. We are not in competition; as more people share their wisdom and power, and as more beings ignite their inner light, the greater the clarity that illuminates us all. -Denise Barrios
7 Ajpu
The day 7 Ajpu suggests the end of a time, the end of an era. The old light of the world has reached the end of its time, and a new era is in the making. When standing on top of the pyramid, you can see all around you, although maybe not the detail. The divinity of Ajpu combined with energy of the 7 may lead to the ability to really see the holiness all around you, or at least it may appear to be.
The lesson of 7 is to make decisions and its other aspect is that of death and finality. Every time we make a decision it results in the death of the other possibilities that existed at the point in time when we made the decision.
With your feet firmly planted on the ground, examine carefully what you hold holy, and make the choice as to whether to keep it in your reality or not.
Correct identification can lead to the pinnacle of divinity, an illusion may lead to an uncomfortable fall. Today is the day to make decisions about where your divine path lays. –Mark Elmy
