In time, the second pair of Hero Twins, children of one of he first pair, once again play handball and once again are summoned by the Death Gods.

But these Hero Twins are clever; they outwit their challengers and survive to play the game. But the Gods of Death don't play fairly. They cheat at the game and the Hero Twins lose their lives as a result.

But once again they outwit the Lords of Xib'alb'a, the Underworld, for they are revived by a magic spell, and they return to trick the Lords of Death, sacrificing the sacrificers and thus conquering Death itself."
