I’m wondering how you would suggest we tune more deeply into these energies when indoors. I find them subtle, and it feels much easier when I’m away from digital clocks and surrounded by open nature.
This is a great question, and I'm so glad to hear you're tuning into the subtlety of the energies. I think for every person it will vary a bit. For me personally, in modern day living, I experience it profoundly in relationship, communications, and work. This is the external manifestation. Then internally, I experience it in emotional and mental stuff to sift through, work with and refine – the shadow, unconscious realms, in particular with Tijax and some other nawales. Both realms are intrinsically connected; internal and external, as these traditions teach us. In more of an new age term, we're living in a holographic reality, but within the lens of the Cholq'ij, we're living in a holographic reality with these energies coding our life experience in a repeating order. I hope this helps.
Definitely. What I’m referring to in particular is the cycles of nature itself. A couple of years ago, I moved near the water, a designated Natural Sea Marine Reserve, and I spend a lot of time outdoors. Over time, I realized I’d stopped looking at watches and often “losing” track of conventional time: what day it is, or what hour and instead began sensing the environment directly. I sometimes think of them as the “Keepers of a place,” a presence I feel most strongly when I’m in a garden. What I’m still wondering is how this connection is possible when we aren’t surrounded by nature, given how much time many of us spend indoors, as I once did.
