Ajpu is overcoming negative energy. It is the victor, the male, the man, the boss, the spiritual warrior, the hunter, Jun Ajpu, and Ixb’alamke. It is the day of Ajaw, the Great Father, and his solar representation, a day of greatness and the strength of life.
Ajpu governs lunar and solar eclipses and represents the [mythological] ball game. It brings material and spiritual certainty. It is the realization of the solar body. It is transformation, mutation, and acuity. It is the warrior, the companion, the traveler, the dancer, and the artist, maker of wonders.

12 Ajpu is a day to capture divine and natural messages, and infuse our physical body with resilience and light so that negativity, illnesses, and distortions continue to be transmuted into wholeness and integration. It provides the extra illumination and courage necessary for continued breakthroughs, or increased clarity on our shadow aspects—selfishness, insecurities, and inaccurate projections that can eclipse our talents.
As a day that exalts artists, communicators, observers, and writers, 12 Ajpu encourages reflection on the spark that continually guides talents and creative forces in our lives – our inner sun. This catalyst serves as the divinity inherent in each person, especially the power to overcome and conquer difficult tests, doubt, and darker aspects of the self.
