We might consider that which comes in to the world today to have been birthed from spirit. -Mark Elmy

Kawoq symbolizes the woman or the wife and the sacred spiritual staff. It is individuals seen as a unit, and the assumption of an imaginary leadership role. –Carlos Barrios
Diana’s Observations:
Today’s stormy rains of Kawoq move through the psychospiritual planes of Power 13. Kawoq’s energy holds both difficulty and abundance, while 13 brings the power to change and transmute. Characterized as a day of cosmic rain and spiritual growth, 13 Kawoq can wash away mental residues of difficulty, stagnation, and limitation with intense vigor.
As the crowning culmination of the Kej Trecena, 13 Kawoq—charged with two mysterious forces—may bring flashes of insight, visions, and revelations that empower us to end difficulties, imbalances, or patterns that disconnect us from our gifts and the greater intelligence of the whole. The insights and sensations gathered today can help us look deeper into the hidden fabric of our relationships and circumstances, allowing us to reemerge with new ideas and renewed purpose.
Kawoq represents the feminine staff of power and the strength of unity, guarding the well-being of home, family, and community – akin to grandmotherly wisdom. In its darker aspect, Kawoq’s forces may appear as destructive words, gossip, apathy, or conflict. Yet, 13 transforms this energy, turning it into profound change and fulfillment—something ripe and ready for transformation.
Charged with the sensitive, psychic magic of 13, this day may reveal potent signals—not only to resolve home or community matters, but also to expand our consciousness and ability to cultivate wealth in these areas. This day of higher guidance invites imagination, receptivity, and versatility in meeting any challenge. When these qualities combine with unified strength and emotional intelligence, they promise abundant, mutual growth on the horizon.

Turtle Spirit Animal:
The turtle is a significant spirit animal in both Mayan and North American Native traditions, symbolizing Mother Earth, longevity, and protection. In Mayan culture, the turtle represents stability and the nurturing qualities of the Earth, often associated with the creation myths that highlight its role in forming the land.
Turtles are seen as guardians of the earth, embodying resilience and the ability to endure life's challenges. Their hard shells symbolize perseverance, serving as a reminder of the strength found in grounding oneself and remaining connected to nature.
The turtle also embodies the qualities of patience and introspection. It teaches the importance of taking life at a slower pace, encouraging individuals to reflect on their journeys and appreciate the present moment. This slow and steady approach to life allows for deeper connections with oneself and the environment, for a sense of peace and stability.
By embodying the turtle's wisdom, one can cultivate a deeper appreciation for the journey of life and the interconnectedness of all beings.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
13 Kawoq
The day of the storm sent from the spirit world could be one interpretation of the combination of the nawal Kawoq with the number 13. It certainly has the power to be intimidating. The ultimate day of the rain god where all might be washed away by the flood, where all is destroyed. However, new creation can only happen where there is space for new growth, and if everything is covered with the outworn, the new growth cannot emerge.
Here the spirit world lends a hand in the birth process, bringing its strength to the delivery. As such we can see an auspicious nature of the energy of today. This does not necessarily mean it will be a gentle day.
If there is anything hanging around that you should have cleaned up, you might find yourself pushed into confronting it for clearance today. The debris of many years may be washed away, and whilst the process may bring some fleeting pain, the end result will be worth it. –Mark Elmy
13 Kawoq
The balance we share begins with what each of us heals within. This trecena, which has guided us to connect with nature and balance, comes to a close with the energy of Oxlajuj Kawoq, that reminds us of our connection to community, our shared purpose, and the harmony we find together.
Much of what we offer to others comes from the work we do within ourselves, and often our healing begins when we release the need to validate what others do or when we recognize our needs and our worth without waiting for someone else to confirm them. Our stories are not the same, nor are our strengths or the challenges we face, and it is precisely in those differences where our collective richness lives.
This day reminds us that we each have something to contribute and that we can walk together while continuing to respect ourselves and one another, without invading, without judging. Accompanying each other with awareness of our own healing, our worth, our limitations and boundaries is also part of the path we share. –Denise Barrios

Day number 13th, wow, what a journey for me. This will be last day that I post my online journeying experience much as changed in my life in a good way but I do want to take some time to reflect on my growth and what I have learned over this past thirteen day cycle. For starters I have slowed down tremendously, the messages that I got today was to do some information fasting, scheduling sacred void time, and continuing self generating rituals. Protection of my environment has been a major theme and so today was spent doing things around the house to improve equilibrium around the house. This has also including my internal environment, as within so without. I have cleaned up my diet currently, during this cycle I have cut out bread, ice cream, things that have disconnected me from the great mother. I have been eating salads, smoothies and juices. Something I have not share is that I have embarked upon a 21 day journey of digesting the sweet gum tree balls. I got inspired by the video Diana the Dedicated Diva sent out with Zuli the cacao guide. I loved how Zuli talked about cacao and how she took it for 21 days. I do not have cacao near me, however I believe I can do this with any plant near me and so Sweet Gum is my current choice, although I am sure there will be others. This has given me sharper clarity and allowed me to connected deeper to my internal wisdom, which is probably where my diet changes came from. It is also, the main reason I have slowed down, certain foods speed me up and others do not.. These subtle changes have been profound for me and now the pine forest that I like to visit feels like a sanctuary. I feel much better, but I can tell I still have much more work to do in loving myself. So I will take to the time to do that. What I ingest, is a form of love as well. I want to see where Sweet Gum is going to take me. All in all, I would like to thank you Dedicated Diva for this platform and your sharing of this sacred work. I will be still around, no commenting as much unless I feel called too, but I am very thankful of you most gracious host. All the best, to any and all who may read these words.
