This day may bring up the duality of the growth process. Coming to ripeness requires an input of energy, and this involves a degree of self-sacrifice. It is a day of illumination and the number 2 highlights relationships. -Mark Elmy

The four cardinal points are present in this sign. It is procreation and symbolizes the four colors of corn in Mesoamerica. It is the day of full realization and knowledge. Everything that begins on this day has a positive future. Growth is not to be expected immediately; it will happen slowly but surely. –Carlos Barrios
Diana’s Observations:
Q’anil, embodying seed, potential, and germination, bifurcates with the duality of Power 2 today. As we begin our walk through the willful, determined Kej Trecena, today may present a crucial choice—a fork in the road. Whether subtle or obvious, 2 Q’anil points to fertile ideas, choices, and plans that require careful selection and assessment before being brought to life with the tenacity of the stag—Kej.
This day encourages us to weigh our plans and decisions thoughtfully. Kej’s overarching theme reminds us to seek equilibrium in our choices, whether it’s deciding to take on a responsibility or choosing between a habitual reaction and a new, more flexible attitude for this cycle. Today, the challenge of striking a balance between self-respect and service to others may come into focus.
Q’anil days are opportunities to seek clarity and guidance for our ideas and creative projects, especially those without a solid foundation or clear direction. With the energy of 2, clarity may come from seeking feedback and support from another.
2 Q’anil encourages us to measure which intentions and projects carry the most beneficial momentum toward harvest and abundance, particularly in collaboration. This can be felt through our instincts—our ability to sense balance in exchanges that nurture mutual growth, or to recognize imbalance through poorly set boundaries, shallowness, or unrealistic plans.
This day carries the double nature of things and highlights complementary elements. Ultimately, it offers profound potential for new life and beautiful harvests through mutual effort—or challenges that require mindfulness, self-sacrifice, and patient resilience.

Rabbit Spirit Animal:
As a sacred animal to the moon goddess Ixchel in Mesoamerican mythology, the rabbit served as a celestial guide, its image etched into the moon's surface, bridging the gap between the divine and mortal worlds.
This role as an intermediary extended beyond the visible realm, with rabbits often portrayed as guides for souls traversing the treacherous paths of the Mayan underworld.
The rabbit's ability to navigate these diverse planes of existence mirrors its earthly agility, showcasing an innate understanding of directional awareness that the ancient cultures deeply respected and sought to emulate.
In some legends, rabbits were often depicted outsmarting more powerful beings, their unpredictable movements and quick thinking serving as potent weapons against formidable adversaries. This craftiness was not merely a matter of physical agility but also of mental acuity, with rabbits demonstrating an uncanny ability to read their environment and adapt swiftly. The zigzagging escape patterns of rabbits, their talent for camouflage, and their knack for finding safe retreats all contributed to their symbolism of cleverness, strategic planning, and heightened sensory awareness.
Thus, the rabbit stood as a testament to the power of agility, both mental and physical. This symbolism of the rabbit as a guide for decisive action and intuitive wisdom is intertwined with its associations with fertility and abundance, creating a powerful emblem of life's vitality and the importance of quick, instinctive responses to life's ever-changing circumstances.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
2 Q’anil
The teaching of Q’anil reminds us that every choice we make has the power to shape our reality. Through our energy, words, thoughts, and actions, we are planting the seeds of our future. Let us remain aware of the power we hold. The trecena of Kej teaches us that when we are in balance and harmony, and act in alignment with our true selves, we flow with our surroundings.
This allows us to contribute to the collective evolution with Mother Earth and every being with whom we coexist, multiplying the blessings and abundance in our lives. –Denise Barrios2 Q’anil
Q’anil days are generally known for their pleasant energy, and this should certainly be one of them. It is a day of abundance, a day of illumination and the associated number 2 highlights relationships.Q’anil is also known for its love of intoxication. This is perhaps the only downside of the energy of today. This could be a day where sensuality can carry you away, you might get lost with your lover. Whilst this might not be a bad thing, it may be a distraction from a more pressing issue.
In general, today is a day when it is possible for you to gain abundance through your self sacrifice.
Spend some time tending your seeds, whether they are physical or metaphorical, and you will reap the benefits. Equally spending time and energy tending your relationship may lead to you and your partner having the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful golden energy of Q’anil. –Mark Elmy

Enchanting soul Diana, yesterday I wrote you a note on this post and I got distracted and lost all of what I wrote. I was not happy at all because what I have found is that within your work as I read the words much creativity and inspiration emerges from me. I took that moment and felt it was a sign to take better care of myself. I ended up spending time in nature a pine forest to exact. I love hanging out with trees. I feel a deep connection with them for some reason. Anyway, after that I decided to cook on the fire pit outside using my cast iron barefoot. It gave me more time in nature which is what I needed most. I felt better afterwards although at first it was hard to be disconnected from technology for so long but the benefits of feeling much more grounded was needed by me. So that is why this post is delayed one day but know, just because the post is delayed it does not mean it did not reach, impact and propel others to sore beyond the constraints of this world. I see you as truly being divine! Many thanks!
