K’at Glyph: The glyph signifies the energy of gravity. It is represented by the sphere, trapped in the groove at the bottom, which divides the base into the two magnetic poles. –Carlos Barrios
K’at: Within its vast body of meaning, K’at signifies the Net, in all of the diversity of senses of the word: a fisherman’s net, a woven net of fruits or vegetables, a network, a spider’s web.
In addition, it is the patron of storerooms and pantries and refers to the gathering of resources; and finally, it carries the concepts of captivity, punishment, social traps, and lawsuits.
K’at is the nawal of fire, namely that which keeps a home running, and of prisons both visible and invisible, material and intangible. –Brigitte Rasine
Diana’s Observations:
Today, the nawal of the Net meets with the results-oriented energy of 3. K’at encompasses the material and immaterial abundance we've collected, as well as the entanglements that burden us. This day reveals the consequences of what we've chosen to carry and what we've sacrificed on our path.
Within the Trecena of Iq’, 3 K’at influences the mental and emotional storerooms of our memory, where we've gathered fertile ideas to advance our objectives or become trapped by limiting thoughts. While 3 provides determination to overcome obstacles and doubts, K’at's abundant nature invites the collection of constructive thinking—creativity, acceptance, patience, and presence. It also prompts the release of obstructive beliefs and outdated stories.
Where mental resistance exists, this day presents opportunities for healthy detachment, facilitating the release of obstacles and the unlocking of new possibilities on our path to achieving our goals.
Guided by Iq’s revitalizing winds inspiring cleansing and flexibility, this day of gathering and release invites us to declutter the mind. Mental clarity can arise from practices such as meditation, organizing our physical spaces and data, detoxing, setting boundaries, venting, journaling, or therapy—methods that help us unpack and release internal weight.
By cultivating holistic order in mind, body, and spirit, we can unlock new pathways and strategies for liberation, empowering us to achieve our desired results both in the short term and long term.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
3 K’at
This may be a day when what you try to catch slips through your net. However, it is an excellent day to sort through what you hold in your home and your heart. The day 3 K’at might be a rather difficult day on which to get things together, in whatever form. It could be seen as a day on which your burdens may really slow you down. The number 3 can represent obstructions and blockages in the outer world.
Perhaps a better use of energy would be to focus on what is holding you back internally. This could be an excellent day for an introspective analysis of the beliefs and concepts which no longer serve a purpose. It is a day to look inside for the bounty, for the true abundance which resides within you.
Allow your net to gently release that which no longer serves you, so that changes, new life and new creation may emerge. –Mark Elmy
3 K’at
The energy of Oxib’ K’at reminds us that the nets we create can either support us or trap us. When we cling to a fixed identity, it can limit us. But if we allow ourselves to release the idea of who we think we are, recognizing that our identity is not a rigid structure but a creation in constant movement, we can transform those attachments into strengths.Today, the energies help us see that many of our attachments arise from the need to feel safe. Yet, when we shine a light on what limits us, we’ll discover that within it also resides great strength and potential.
Instead of holding on, today invites us to embrace change and make space for new possibilities to emerge. –Denise Barrios
Lizard Spirit Animal:
“Regeneration” “Releasing Harmful Aspects” “Seeks creative people that are facing blockages”, “Breaks a cycle to provide a fresh perspective”
One characteristic defining Lizard’s meaning is the fact that the creature sheds its skin, much like a Snake. Shedding marks an increase in the reptile’s size and allows Lizard to rid itself of parasites.
Both Lizard and Snake come to symbolize physical, emotional, or intellectual growth and the act of leaving behind what you’ve outgrown.
The second behavior highlighting Lizard Energy is self-amputation and regeneration. While on the surface, the action sounds awful, it’s a self-defense mechanism so Lizard can get out of a predator’s grasp.
Over time, the Animal’s tail grows back, but often smaller and sometimes in a different color. Holding on to old habits or outworn beliefs hold you back from achieving good health, happiness, or success. –Bernadette King
