Diana’s Observations:
Q’anil, the nawal of seed, sowing, and fruition, is fortified today by the results-oriented energy of Power 3. Naturally aligned with maturity and achievement, Q’anil symbolizes the harmony born of love and labor, yet also carries the potential for haste and indulgence. 3’s essence amplifies motivational, emotional drive—molding, forming, and striving internally for results. 3 Q’anil is a day to cultivate intent and adaptability, while remaining vigilant of potential derailments that can arise from excess.
On this third day of the Kame Trecena, this combination signals the early stages of self-mastery—inviting us to pluck out the old weeds of limiting patterns and versions of ourselves, opening new doors of potential. Kame’s thresholds invite us to release the past, while 3 Q’anil calls for inner breakthroughs—like a seed pushing through density and darkness toward the sun.
The shadow of 3 Q’anil warns against impatience, excess, and the temptation to seek shortcuts or instant gratification—unconscious impulses that can derail our progress and leave our efforts unfulfilled. Although 3’s essence may bring resistance, fear, or uncertainty, directly confronting these challenges bravely nurtures the progress, peace, and spiritual advancement that Kame offers. The key lies in adaptability.
3 Q’anil also mirrors the outcomes of our choices, inviting us to pause and reflect on the paths we’ve taken, how we perceive personal growth, and the results we’ve cultivated. If we find ourselves dissatisfied with our current circumstances, recognizing how we arrived here can nourish our growth and help us develop new strategies for the future. This day encourages us to honor the process, adapting to our own rhythms and stages of development. By doing so, we open ourselves to new opportunities, trusting that each cycle brings fresh chances to rise, evolve, and bear fruit.

Rabbit Spirit Animal:
The phrase “Breeding like Rabbits” stems from the creature’s remarkable fertility. Invoke Rabbit as a Power Animal when you want more abundance in your life; this can translate into various fertility types, from the successful growth of a glorious garden to obtaining financial abundance or even the start of a family.
The Animal’s energetic signature will help you trust your inner voice so you know when to remain still or make a move.
When you are uncertain about steps to take when pursuing your career or making a decision, seek your Power Animal, the Rabbit, for some help with direction. The Rabbit reacts fast, relying on instinct to choose what direction to go in, and the creature wastes no time when hopping on fortuity.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
3 Q’anil
We are passing further into the trecena of Kame, and once again we see a potential for challenges in the energy of today, although what we learn from these challenges may truly help our souls to ripen.Q’anil days, much like the people who carry nawal Q’anil, rarely fail to shine. They often feel like bright, happy days, and with the properties of Q’anil, this is exactly what we would expect. However, today might not have quite the same lustre. Growth and the passage towards ripeness may be a little obstructed. Therefore, Q’anil may not be quite as prosperous as usual.
As we age, Q’anil helps us to mature, we ripen from children into elders. Today might bring some setbacks with that process. It might give rise to a less-than-mature response from yourself or those around you. This may lead to some frustration; it could lead to some lapses in responsibility. Q’anil may then even lead you into intoxication. –Mark Elmy
3 Q’anil
Flourishing is not always easy. Sometimes it means moving through uncomfortable moments we would rather avoid. It is naive to think we will only experience what feels good. Not everything along our path will be pleasant, and that is not necessarily a bad thing, it is part of our process. We are like a seed that needs to stay underground for a while, giving space and time for its inner wisdom to come together before it can sprout.
Today, the energies remind us that we do not need to force anything. Each of us has our own rhythm to flourish, we need our own timing. And while trusting the process is not always easy, especially when we do not yet understand what we are going through, if we let impatience rush our pace, we may miss out on all the beauty that is about to be born. –Denise Barrios
