I’x: I'x is the feminine energy that connects us to the rhythms of the Moon, to the subtle forces of the world and to our creative capacity and intuition. It is the wisdom and power of Mother Earth, it is the creation of life. The High Magic that arises from the force of Nature in balance with the Cosmos is related to I'x. It is expanding our mind, reaching high levels of consciousness and knowing that each one of us is Magic. –Denise Barrios
Diana’s Observations:
Today, the nawal of the jaguar—symbol of mysticism, instinct, and the feminine—meets the willful, action-oriented energy of Power 8. I’x is the subtle, biodynamic force pulsing within us, the very source of life itself. Its quiet magic and strength channel through physical and dynamic action today, grounded by the steady influence of the Kej Trecena.
On 8 I’x, magic expresses through resolute acts—a harmonious blend of receptivity and determination, of feminine and masculine qualities. It is the synergy of both brain hemispheres, working together to dissolve stagnation. Today calls us to trail the middle path, balancing instinct with practical action.
8 I’x heightens our intuition, power, and agility, offering vitality to bring life to our endeavors. This day also teaches patience and presence: to stay rooted in the moment, deepen our awareness of the body’s subtle sensations, and observe the flow of life around us before leaping into action. By blending observation, adaptability, and expansive flow, we enhance our receptive powers and timeliness—able to sense when to pause and when to seize opportunity.
I’x, guardian of the Mayan natural altars, joined with the ceremonial spirit of 8, marks a special day to offer gratitude to the Earth for all the ways she sustains and protects us. Charged with the raw wilderness of Kej, it is also an auspicious time to reconnect with nature, honor the four directions, elements, and aspects of our being, and recognize the natural gifts that guide and support our lives each day.

Jaguar Spirit Animal:
The jaguar is seen as a guardian of the underworld and a symbol of the night, reflecting its ability to thrive in darkness. This nocturnal nature allows the jaguar to traverse the boundaries between worlds, making it a mediator between the living and the spiritual.
In K'iche' mythology, the jaguar is often depicted as a companion to deities, embodying the qualities of ferocity and protection. This connection to the divine reinforces the belief that the jaguar can guide individuals through challenges, helping them confront their fears and navigate the complexities of life.
The jaguar's hunting abilities also highlight the importance of timing and patience, traits that are essential for both the animal and humans seeking to achieve their goals. Just as the jaguar waits for the perfect moment to strike its prey, individuals are encouraged to recognize and seize opportunities in their own lives.
This understanding of timing is crucial for personal growth and success, emphasizing the need for awareness and adaptability in various situations.
Observations by Mayan Spiritual Guides:
8 I’x
We have been speaking about the balance within giving and receiving, which is deeply connected to the energies vibrating on this day. However, the convergence of the Kej trecena with Wajxaqib’ [8] I’x also invites us to reflect on the importance of not limiting ourselves to solely seeking connection with the subtler planes, with our cosmic reality. We must give equal importance to our connection with this world, with the physical reality in which we are developing during our journey through this existence.
Let us not forget that Mother Earth is the plane where our spirit is currently developing; her force moves us, and the more we cultivate our relationship with her and all that shapes her, the more we will discover our power.
The teachings of the Elders speak of balance, and today, I believe the learning is related to acknowledging that we are beings that unite the Earth and the Sky, the planes of the tangible and the immaterial.
When we can recognize and integrate ourselves as part of a whole, both in the material and spiritual aspects, we can heal the afflictions of the physical world through our connection to the subtler planes. It is in this recognition that we find our strength and power. –Denise Barrios
8 I’x
A week ago, the trecena of Kej began, which gave us the possibility of drawing our strength from nature.Today, we feel the wholeness of connection with the spirit of the Earth. It is a day of celebration, where we give thanks to the Earth for all that she provides.
We also recognize the “magic” in our lives, as our ability to work in harmony with the Earth sustains ourselves, our families, and our communities with what she provides. Moreover, I’x is the nawal of natural shrines and altars, the “ears” through which the Earth receives our prayers.
We often make ourselves heard, asking for what we need in our lives, and today allows us to give back. You can show your love for the Earth by using your time to help clear up a local natural environment of debris left behind by humans. Bring a little of your magic to her, show a little love, and she will return it to you magnified. –Mark Elmy

I'm wearing my jaguar shirt and T-shirt today!
Meticulous Maiden of the Maya,
Today was a rest and relaxation day as my Polish Princess Julia had her cycle visit her today. Or like she likes say, "the vanilla pudding has a strawberry glaze". That is code for us to take it easy so we both took the day off and rested. I decided to create a fire in one of our two back yard fire pits, to burn some Sweet gum tree branches and Pine branches from falling trees in our neighborhood too cleanse the air. Julia shared that she was surprised at how her first day went today as it normally really bad. She thinks it had to do with the Sweet Gum tree balls she got a few days ago. We have been experimenting with them, or as I like to say playing and one thing we both like is a cold water version with cut up pieces in it. Very refreshing! Tea is what we are most familiar with, she is thinking of making a tincture for her father and her brother. She was also frustrated she could find much information on Sweet Gum Tree balls but I told her that could be a good thing and great way for us to start our own research. We talked a little about a cycle alchemy class that is based on Chinese medicine, then I went to my favorite Pine forest for some forest bathing and guess what I saw this time. A deer, I was so amazed and for some reason happy..lol! It looked at me and then dashed, I thought it was gone and I kept walking to my normal location and I saw it had stop and was watching me, for some reason that made my day. I want you to know how much I appreciate the work that you are doing to build a bridge to this sacred wisdom. It is important work and it really means a lot to me dear one. Wishing you all green lights ahead!
