Ajaw Q’anil is the seed. Let’s remember that everything that begins develops from this energy. We ourselves are a seed that was planted by our parents, the creation is a seed that was planted in the cosmos.

Our future is determined by the seeds we plant today, and our reality is created through the seeds we plant in our thoughts. This is the wonderful power of Q’anil, that of giving life, of being that seed that contains within itself everything it needs to sprout and flourish.

Depending on what we plant, on the love and dedication we put in caring for it, so will be the fruits that we will harvest in our life.

Q’anil also symbolizes the children who are the future of humanity, who are those offspring that we are taking care of today and who will plant the new world. Tochtli means rabbit and is the day in the Aztec calendar associated with the goddess Mayahuel the goddess of fertility, the womb, and maguey plant - used to brew alcoholic pulque drink.

Tochtli is mystical and communicates with nature. The rabbit was one of the most favored creatures of the Aztecs for hunting. It was identified with Chichimecs, the hunter-gatherers, and Mixcoatl, the god of the hunt. The rabbit was also an ancient Mesoamerican symbol for the moon.
